Counselor, Dawsonville, GA
Taking that first step and asking for help can feel scary.  Therefore, my approach to therapy begins by developing a trusting, reciprocal relationship with my clients.
I believe trust is fostered through honesty, support, connection, acceptance, and understanding.  The formation of this relationship is the agent of positive change.  Witnessing this change and empowering people to improve their relationships and the quality of their lives is my greatest passion.  My goal is to work collaboratively with my clients to remove uncomfortable symptoms, alleviate emotional pain, increase self-awareness, and promote personal growth.
I specialize in working with adults and teenagers dealing with a myriad of issues including substance abuse/chemical dependency, depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, grief/loss, and relational conflicts.  I hold a BS degree in psychology from the University of Florida and a Master's Degree in social work from the University of Georgia.

Danny Boylan
Counselor, Dawsonville, GA
Seeking counseling help can be a confusing and scary experience. How do you choose the right counselor? What do all the acronyms after names mean? What will the counseling experience actually be like? Can counseling actually help me? It is with these questions and concerns in mind that I always start with my primary objective being to create a completely safe, private, confidential, accepting, non-judgmental, valuing, understanding, and empowering relationship with my clients. I believe that these components alone can often be enough to bring the change that you seek to make in your life. Whatever you are struggling with, I strive to meet you where you are, understand your experience, and help you achieve your goals for change. We can work together to get through your anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, relationship difficulties, career concerns, disability complications, and general life dissatisfaction.
My name is Danny Boylan and I am a National Certified Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor. I have significant experience working with individuals on the above issues, as well years of training working with disabilities of all types. I spent the first half of my career in the business world of finance, and have both the personal and professional experience to help individuals struggling with career issues. I also enjoy working with the LGBT community, as well as those struggling with existential concerns. I have a Bachelor of Finance degree from the University of Texas and a Master of Community Counseling degree from the University of North Georgia. I grew up in Austin, TX, but have called Georgia my home for the past 16 years. I am an avid fisherman, woodworker, and musician, and have 2 wonderful cats and an amazing dog. I would be honored to work with you on whatever you are struggling with. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

I believe it is possible to find healing from our past, health for the present, and hope for the future.  One of the most powerful tools for reaching this goal is the therapeutic relationship.  Congratulations for having the courage to explore professional counseling.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in social work from Baylor University and my Master of Social Work degree from Florida State University.   Over half of my experience has been in private practice.  Prior to that, I worked in various medical settings with both pediatric and adult patients, with diagnoses of cancer, renal disease, cardiac disease and chronic pain.
My areas of specialty include the following:  Christian counseling, depression, anxiety, OCD, parenting, medical issues, grief/loss, ADHD, divorce care for adults and children, and trauma.  I work with clients ranging from school aged children to the elderly providing individual, couples, and family counseling.  I utilize predominantly a cognitive-behavioral approach to therapy and incorporate one’s faith into therapy as desired.

Reaching out for help can be a difficult step and considering therapy is probably not the first action you have taken on your journey towards recovery. It won’t be your last either. There are remarkable benefits to gain from working with a therapist, but it takes effort from us both. I am committed to the therapeutic process and, most importantly, I am committed to you. I would be honored to walk alongside you during this process and provide guidance, understanding, and a listening ear while building a therapeutic relationship that you can trust.
I am very passionate about the clients I serve and have dedicated myself to finding an array of helpful tools that will aide you on your path to self-discovery and change. I was always the “go-to-person” for advice while growing up, so I decided to turn my passion into my career. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in 2010 and my Master’s Degree in 2012 from The University of Georgia, where I rapidly made a way for myself in the field of Social Work. I embraced opportunities to help women and children cope with domestic violence, school issues, legal trouble, parenting struggles, family conflict, and emotional and physical trauma. As my career developed, I became specialized in grief and loss, coping with terminal illness, substance abuse, and anxiety.  I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and could not be happier with where I am working today!
My desire is that, here at Wellspring Counseling, I will provide you with a comfortable, non-judgmental, and compassionate atmosphere for you to face your current challenges. I work with curious, young children up to wise and aging seniors. We will work as partners to tailor a plan that is as unique as you and your struggles then begin our journey towards those goals. I look forward to working with you! Thank you for entrusting me with your care.

Lynn Lane
Counselor, Dawsonville, GA
I have a Master of Divinity degree with a specialty in Pastoral Counseling from Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, TN and a Master of Social Work from Smith College for Social Work in Northampton, MA.  I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years learning from my clients, as they were able to make peace with the challenges of life.  I believe therapy is a mutual experience of respect and trust where we explore the creative potential that can bring healing and hope.

I maintained a private practice in Atlanta for a number of years working with the Emory University young adult community, meeting with individuals and facilitating groups for cancer patients, consulting with hospitals and hospices on issues of grief, elder care and end of life care and working with a diverse group of clients with spiritual, physical, and emotional cares. I have recently returned to the Atlanta area.

Wherever I have been, my clients were confused, grieving, bereaved, lost, anxious, tired, stressed, like all of us, trying to cope with the realities of life and looking for help, for hope, for answers.  I have worked with individuals and couples in all stages of relationships, and with both gay and straight couples and blended families. I have worked with lesbian individuals and couples who were trying to find their way in a world of mixed messages.  I meet people wherever they are, and we explore the goals and dreams that each person or each couple express as their hope for contentment and fulfillment.   Finding a path to attain the goals is what we do together in the therapy process.

Frequently, our community does not make room for the reality of our mourning, our losses, our suffering, or whatever life transitions we might be experiencing.  Well meaning people offer advice, friends tell us their stories, pastors tell us what they think should be comforting, and yet often we feel isolated in our grief or confusion or pain.  Sadly, we can even feel ashamed that we are not "doing it right", not "moving on", or not able to function as others judge we should.   I am a therapist who believes that each of us has a unique capacity to not only tell our own story, but find meaning in it that resonates with who we are. I make room for clients to get in touch with their own center, or intuition, or spot of grace, and find the language that gives meaning to their own narrative, as they write the next chapter.
I look forward to hearing your story and helping you find healing and hope.

Trish Monahan
Counselor, Roswell, GA
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Georgia as well as a nationally, distance credentialed counselor (DCC). I have over 15 years experience working with children and families. I have been in private practice since 2011. Outside of my private practice, I am a therapist and assistant program director at an outpatient treatment facility in Roswell.
I am focused on providing individuals, couples, and families the tools necessary to transition (work through) and overcome obstacles which tend to keep them stagnant in their day to day life. Learning to transition from one aspect of your life to another can be very scary and intimidating. Working together, we can regain the motivation and determination to learn to let go of the things holding you back and learn a healthy way to navigate through life. Throughout the therapeutic process, I utilize Animal Assisted Therapy as an aide during my sessions. My dog, Minnie, is a 2.5lb Chihuahua who loves belly rubs and being held. She helps reduce stress, build rapport, and creates a sense of trust and belonging.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University and my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University.

Counselor, Roswell, GA
I believe that life is about a journey. The more skills we develop the greater our ability to navigate through life’s challenges. “If we do not change our direction we are likely to end up where we are headed.”
I strongly believe that effective therapy is a two way street. It takes a cooperative effort by both the person receiving therapy and the therapist. And it takes a commitment to make sometimes difficult changes in behavior or thinking patterns. The kind of therapy I practice centers on the principles of personal responsibility, honesty and self-respect.
I graduated from McMaster University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Shortly after, I pursued my passion and graduated from Argosy University with a Master of Arts in Community Counseling. I am currently a Licensed Professional counselor with over eight years of counseling experience specializing with individuals, couples and families with substance dependency and recovery. I have extensive experience working with people of all ages, whether working through grief, depression, anxiety, anger, a life transition or an addiction, I am committed to helping you develop the skills you need to create the life you want.

It has been said that "truth is not for everyone but only those who seek it."  If you are seeking truth in yourself and in your relationships with the goal of leading a fulfilled purposeful life, I look forward to meeting you.  Our goals and dreams are often closer than we imagine.
My aim is to provide an effective therapeutic experience for you in an environment that is inviting, secure, and comfortable.  It is my belief that the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of therapy.  My orientation is person-centered and strength focused.  My goal is to provide you with a setting of safety, confidentiality, and acceptance.  I work together with my clients to find the best course of action to meet their goals in a similar way that a personal trainer may give input and direction but the client must put in the effort and do the work.

I graduated from the University of Florida and received my Master of Social Work degree from Kennesaw State University. I have been married for over 30 years and have three adult children. I have over 30 years of counseling experience working with individuals and families.
